I clothes shop with you and generally find something to my taste so keep it up. However I food shop on a weekly basis for my mother and a little for myself. Your staff are so friendly and your quality of produce, especially your meals which I buy for my mother is excellent. This is what attracts people to your store. To find a couple of months back you introduced self serve tills at your checkout has just now so so put you in the bracket of Asda and the rest. People shop with you for the quality service you give. Not to save a penny here and there. I refuse to use these impersonal checkouts no matter how long the queue is at the friendly manned tills. It would be smaller if you still had the old number of manned tills! Get a grip and do what you’re good at!!!!!! Don’t dumb yourself down. Unhappy shopper.

chichester branch staff pleasant and helpful as usual.
it would be helpful if ladies trousers showed length, as with skirts, rather than large medium or small. .

I visited the Celtenham home store to obtain a ISA application form, there were no forms there but a member of staff was extremely helpful and made a phone call at the store so I could speak to the right person to get the information and form I needed, she even hung on the phone until there was an answer as there was a delay and fetched me when it was answered. Very good service.

Was refused an exchange in Letterkenny for a velour stripe hoody top purchased in Derry because I had lost or mislaid the price tag from the garment, despite the fact that I produced the reciept of purchase and the refund/exchange policy date is 15/01/2013.

Usually shop at Southampton store at least once a week; staff pleasant and helpful, as usual. I’m not too keen on the self-service tills yet!

I visit your Worcester food store on regular basis. You have taken out the manned tills which is a retrograde step. Please put them back.
I dont use self service tills. How many staff have you got made redundant due to the self service tills. I dont like to que, now its even longer waiting time to get served.
I wont be buying in the food store again. Next it will be the cloths.. Shame on you.

M andS Newcastle’s Kitchen is staffed by pleasant and efficient personnel however the system in that venue is ridiculous! After waiting for 10 minutes to be seated I then waited a further 10 to have my order taken and then a further 10 minutes for my food to arrive! A thirty minute wait for a coffee and a scone!! What was even more bewildering was the fact that when I asked a passing waiter for another coffee this was served to me in 2 minutes. I was not the only person who was disgruntled about the system as a customer was expressing similar views to mine as she paid for her meal.

We do enjoy your fillet steak and bought some at the St. Helens store to make a stroganoff because it was my 71st birthday. I was very disapointed when I could not find a small pot of double cream to finish the recipe. There was plenty of very thick clotted cream but I did not think this would work.

We always enjoy visiting your Cribbs Causeway store due to the extensive range of products on offer. The current 20% discount offer was also a great incentive, and we used this opportunity to spend more.

I visited the Guildford branch of your store today and had coffee in your new and very much improved restaurant. The service was excellent.

I also visited the food hall (which too has been enlarged and greatly improved). I purchased several items of food as I usually do because I consider your food to be of very good quality and value for money. Also the special offers you have each week are excellent value for money.

Whenever my husband and I go into M and S and ask an assistant where to find an item we are always taken to it. All the assistants in Haywards Heath are extremely helpful and cheerful all the time. It is quite a small M and S and often crowded and they really are the lovely “face” of M and S.

M & S GALWAY: Staff are very well trained; most pleasant and helpful to customers. Your returns policy is an incentive to shop as items can be returned for a full refund, no questions asked. This is particularly helpful to my sister who finds it difficult to shop personally; I can shop for her and return anything not suitable. Regarding food, I find the quality of your food consistently reliable and often avail of the “Dine-In” offers.

I bought 2 pyjama ‘bottoms’ as well as a pair of other pyjamas online. The ‘bottoms’ were not what I required so I returned them. When I tried to find a replacement I found that my size was out of stock.
When I tried to locate an extra pair of pyjamas in two stores within 18 miles and asked to be put through to the menswear department no-one answered the phone in that department.
In a 3rd store 25 miles away I found instant success but M & S policy is no posting (I am in a wheelchair) so my wife had to drive 6o miles round trip to collect them. Could M & S introduce severe disability empathy into their policy?
