  1. I am not really interested in the survey for a prize, but moreso to let someone at Home Depot Corporate level know of my experience. I have just filled out the customer survey on line, but it leaves little room for comment. My experience in buying a refrigerator in the store was fine. The problem was with the delivery and that experience was 100% unsatisfactory. I was given a four hour window for delivery and told to have our old unit empty before the new one was brought in. I emptied it at the two hour mark, not knowing when the delivery would arrive. An hour later, I got a call that the delivery was 45 minutes out, so I made apporpriate arrangements to cool the remainder of our food in ice chests. That was the one and only time we heard from the delivery company, until I called them after they were over an hour past the “four-hour window” we had been given. All I was told was that they “were on their way”. The truck finally arrived, TWO hours late! By then, most of our food was ruined and had to be disposed of. The delivery men plugged in the new unit and left. I was left to pull off all packing tape, open bags of parts (without directions) and assemble all interior parts, shelves, etc. Two days later, it became apparent that the unit did not work correctly …would not freeze anything in freezer, refrigerator section too warm…no matter what the setting, and the unit ran non-stop. Finally I went to the Home Depot in Oneonta where I purchased the unit and made arrangements to return the unit. I made arrangements to buy another one from another source, as I would never again want to experience what we went through with the delivery people that work for Home Depot. The one bright light through it all, was Oneonta store associate KAREN ROMANO, who was a big help in arranging the return, credit to my account, and all that had to be done.

  2. If my day is going South, all I have to do is go spend a little time at Home Depot. The atmos[here there is great and I come awayy able to make the rest of mu day a good one.

  3. Recently I purchased a lawn mower at the Home Depot on US19 in Spring Hill. At the check out the cashier asked if I wished to take the extended warrenty. At first I said no but she said it was a good deal. If there is a problem wih the mower you just bringit in and they will give you a new mower. Just short of the 90 days store warenty the mower would not start.. At the store tey said the would not replace the mower but I could leave it for repair.
I was not happy about that but that was all I could do.
Today I was informed that the mower was ready and there was a $31.96 harge. All I can say is that all in all this was the worst experience I I have had.at Home Depot and thatpurchasing the extend warrenty was nothing short of a complete riroff

  4. Went to the store in Coral Springs, FL at University & Atlantic Blvd. Needed a piece of wood that I purchased yesterday cut. It couldn’t be done on the power saw but Rod, (employee) a very personable young man cut it for me by hand. I was astounded that he was willing to do this and not with an attitude or impatience. I hope you guys appreciate the kid. I wanted to tell his manager but they were all in a meeting. This is one old lady that did appreciate Rod.

  5. My company and the property developer I work with do a huge number of purchases from the Merritt Island FL Home Depot Store. The employees in the commercial sales area are always very helpful and do a great job getting contractors out the door. Time is very important to folks in our trade. Thanks Mike, Kim, Aolonda and Curtis for the great service.
